Pima Medical Institute Names Respiratory Therapy Advisory Board
Chula Vista, CA June 16, 2004 -- The Respiratory Therapy Advisory Board for Pima Medical Institute's newly implemented Respiratory Therapy program has been named and the members have already begun the process of advising educators on ways to ensure the success of the only RT program available in the South Bay area.
The committee consists of: Marty Rosenberg, Director of Respiratory Care Services, Kindred Hospital; Kathy Sullivan, American Lung Association; Davies Wong, MD, Medical Director of the RT Program, PMI; Ofelia Hermosa, Lead Therapist, Paradise Valley Hospital; Marlina Devera, Staff Therapist, Paradise Valley Hospital; Carmen Kasmauski, Manager, Cardiopulmonary Services, Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center; Agnes Stippey, Lead Therapist, Sharp Grossmont Hospital; Donna Murphy, Respiratory Care Specialist, Sharp Grossmont Hospital; Ruta Steinell, Education Coordinator, Sharp Memorial Hospital; Jodi Brewer, Respiratory Care Specialist, Sharp Memorial Hospital; Jose Rivera, Educator, Respiratory Care, Scripps Mercy Hospital; Sharon Summers, Director of Career Development, PMI; Diane Williams, Director of Education/Faculty Coordinator, PMI; Fred Freedman, Director of Operations, PMI; Kathy Hoersch, Associate Campus Director, PMI; Mark Devenere, Director of Clinical Education, Respiratory Therapy Program, PMI and Debra Volpe, Program Director, Respiratory Therapy Program, PMI.
The 17-member committee will provide support to program personnel in areas that range from reviewing curriculum to marketing the program and locating qualified faculty, to helping with job placement of graduates and assisting with the accreditation process.
